- Where do I buy the access code/card? You have to buy the access code/card at the MDC BookstoreStore Location: MDC West Campus Contact: (305) 237-8953 Your Miami Dade College West Campus Bookstore Email: [email protected] Hours: M-R 8am-6pm Fridays 8am-2pm
- Do I have to bring my registration when I buy my access code/card? Yes, you should bring your registration for the clerk in the store to know the level you are in, specifically for MyEnglishLab where buying the access card goes with the access Writing level.
- What do I do once I have my access code/card? You will have to go to your professor for your Writing lab class with your access code card in order to complete your registration properly.
- Can I register for MEL on my own? There are two ways to register for MyEnglishLab: One way is on your own registering with Pearson first and then joining the course or the professor registers you in the class and afterwards you enter your access code card once you are already in the course.
- How do I know my username and PW? Only one username and PW would give you access to MyEnglishLab depending on the method of registration, however, the most important part is not to use the access code card more than once and to be attentive or take note of your username and PW associated with the access code card. If you do not see a "To Do List" you are not completely registered. Important suggestions are to complete the information in your card and keep it handy.
- What happens if I am not registered? You can work outside ot the platform and then you will have to complete go to Settings, Join a course, transfer grades or scores, and use the customized course ID from your professor. The work you completed would be under Practice and Tests in the pull down menu instead of under Assignments and Tests. A lab assistance can help you sort it out in the lab.
- For the Speech code you MUST bring your receipt to ASL room 2121 to register you in the system with TellMeMore-Rosetta Stone. First week of class, your professor is collecting the receipts in class.
- How can I tell that I am properly registered? You will receive an email with information about your username and your PW for Speech and a confirmation from PEARSON for Writing.

- What is the link for Speech? The correct link for Speech is included in the syllabus from your professor
- What is the link for the EAP lab? The EAP lab link is accessible anywhere, anytime at http://eapsupportlab.weebly.com
- What do I do if I forget my program PW? Contact your MyEnglishLab Writing Instructor and/or the TellMeMore Speech Coordinator at the lab to help you reset your PW or refer to your email.
- What happens when I have problems with the program outside of the lab? If you have problems with MyEnglishLab outside of the lab environment you MUST contact the Pearson program site directly at http://pearsonsupport.helpserve.com/pmc_clone and go to chat to talk to a representative or come to the lab to further assist you.
- If you have problems with Rosetta Stone at home, you will have to check your browser and headphones or contact 1-800-ROSETTA (1-800-767-3882) and/or visit their site at http://support.rosettastone.com/en/business or you may come back to the lab for further help.
- What should I do to avoid failing the lab? To avoid failing the lab, you will have to complete your lab hours, your test and most of the activities according to the grade-book disclosure provided to you by your professor.
- What are the consequences of failing the lab? Failing the lab has consequences. If you are under Financial Aid, F.A. Can ask for the money back, and place you on a list to remove your Financial Aid assistance. Also, failing a course affects your GPA, and you have to maintain a minimum GPA of 2 points or higher to graduate from college.
- What if I have extenuating circumstances that do not allow me to complete the course? You must notify immediately your professor in order to withdraw before the deadline. If you do not withdraw from the class or ask your professor to withdraw you, then you will receive a failing grade. Remember that the lab is a co-requisite of the class.
